How to care for your backpack

If the dirt is only on one part of the backpack, you can dry it thoroughly and remove it with a brush or scrub it with a wet towel to make it much cleaner, but you can also wash the backpack. However, do not use a washing machine or dryer.

1. Proper washing and storage are essential to keep your backpack in good condition for a long time. Storing it dirty for a long time will accelerate the deterioration of each part and may cause mold and odor.
2. Preparation
Remove any detachable parts before washing and leave zippers open.
3. Spot clean : If there is any noticeable dirt, wet the item with water, apply a mild detergent and scrub with a sponge or brush.
4. Press wash
Fill a washtub or bathtub with enough water to just cover the backpack, then add some mild detergent. Submerge the entire backpack and press wash it.
If the stain is severe, using lukewarm water is effective.
5. Rinse
Once you have thoroughly washed the backpack, rinse it thoroughly. After discarding all the dirty water, soak the backpack in clean water again and wash it by pressing it. Repeat the same process until the water runs clear.
6. Draining the water Turn the backpack upside down and drain the water. The back pad absorbs water easily, so press it with your hands to remove as much water as possible.
If you have a large space, you can take it outside and shake it vigorously to remove any excess water.
7. Drying : Dry in the shade. Avoid direct sunlight and dry in a well-ventilated place. Moisture tends to remain in the gaps in the fabric where the urethane foam and frame are inserted, so be sure to dry thoroughly.
Please note that if the item is not dried sufficiently, mold will grow easily. Once black mold has grown, it is very difficult to remove.

*White mold may appear during storage, but it can be removed by wiping it dry. It is also a good idea to spray it with an alcohol disinfectant.
